The Outpost, River House, River House Cabin & Lake House
Come and relax in one of our beautiful riverside lodges. From our great rooms with large screen TVs and spacious lounging areas, to our cozy bedrooms, you'll be glad you stayed with us.
You will wake up to the sound of the Dead River in the peaceful town of the West Forks Maine each morning before you head off to your day's adventure. Check-in is right next door at the Hawk's Nest. These river side lodges are great for romantic getaways, family vacations and for groups of all sizes.
The River House
The River House Lodge sits less than 50' from the famous Dead River. The River House is available by the room or by the entire lodge. There are 4 big rooms with 2 private baths and 1 shared bath. Each room has a queen/king bed and 2 twins. Families and groups love to take the entire house and have its exclusive use, sleeps up to 18 people.
You'll love the cozy pine interior, open and spacious layout with walls of glass for serene views of the Dead River. Enjoy a Maine campfire at the riverside. Relax in front of a Flat screen TV & DVD player, play horseshoes in the backyard, or float downstream in one of our Kayaks. Wake up to a scrumptious breakfast in the morning, and then you're off to the adventure of the day.

The Outpost Lodges
The Outpost is a cozy lodge nestled in a wilderness town of Northern Maine and lies on the Dead River, just 1/2 mile from it's confluence with the Kennebec River. The Outpost is available by the room or the entire lodge, sleeps up to 20 people. We have rooms suited for couples with private baths upstairs and rooms for singles downstairs.

River House Cabin
This cabin sits adjacent to the River House and shares the spectacular view of the Dead River through its large glass windows. The entire lodge sleeps up to 6 people and has a full kitchen. This beautiful cabin will have you staring in awe as you take in awesome its architecture. The River House Cabin is great for private or romantic getaways.

Lakehouse
The cabin is located on the shores of Lake Moxie has spectacular views of the Lake through its large glass windows.
The Lake House sleeps 14 people and has a half kitchen.
This beautiful cabin has a private dock with access to canoes or kayaks free of charge. The Lake House is just a short walk to the Kennebec and Dead River check-in.
